Bernard Belliveau
President, Apropos Marketing Communications
20+ years of marketing/communication experience

Bernard brings an in-depth understanding of marketing, communications and public relations to the table every time. This expertise is complimented by his strong understanding of strategy development and implementation. Bernard quickly adapts to a client’s situation by providing strategic counsel, recommending appropriate strategies or directing his multi-faceted team.

Over the past 20 years, Bernard has consulted with organizations from numerous sectors such as tourism/heritage, public sector, technology, manufacturing, retail, lottery products, education, forestry, professional services, etc. In the summer of 1999, Bernard founded Apropos Marketing Communications, an integrated marketing communications agency. Since then, he has played a leadership and hands on role in projects from branding, strategic plans, quantitative and qualitative research, public relations initiatives, social media programs and integrated marketing campaigns. Furthermore, Apropos has received numerous national and international accolades for their strategic and creative work on accounts such the Goforestry, NB Nurses Union, NB forestry Association, System Air, NB Dept of Health and Wellness, Frasier Papers, to name a few.

Nathalie Landry

Nathalie holds a degree in Information and Communication from Université de Moncton. Since graduation, she has worked in communications for the Canadian Association of Second Language Teachers, in economic development with the Conseil de développement économique de la Nouvelle-Écosse, and with the   Greater Moncton Chamber of Commerce where she supported local businesses and helped give a voice to entrepreneurs.

During her years of communication experience she has worked with organizations and businesses in improving their brand and developing effective tools to increase their visibility. Nathalie is also trained in graphic design, cinematography, public speaking and group facilitation.

David Barnett, BBA, CBI, CMEA
Certified Business Broker & Equipment Appraiser

Mr. Barnett works for Sunbelt Business Brokers. Sunbelt is the world’s largest network of business brokers with over 300 offices on six continents. After completing training and testing over an 18 month period in both Canada and the US, Mr. Barnett was awarded his Certified Business Intermediary designation from the International Business Brokers Association. (www.ibba.org) Mr. Barnett holds both a real estate salesperson’s license and an Agent’s license, and holds a CMEA designation (Certified Machinery/ Equipment Appraiser) by the NEBB Institute.

In 2010, Mr. Barnett joined PartnerOnCall Network as an Authorized Business Buyer Advocate™ The POCN system has been refined for over 30 years to teach an effective framework for buyer initiated business acquisitions.

Rick Nicholson

Rick holds a Masters Degree in Business from Universite de Moncton and PhD in Versatility from U.H.K. After completing his degree in Accounting, he entered the corporate world as a “bean counter” and self-taught Microsoft Excel wiz-kid. He then segued into marketing and wound up purchasing media campaigns and selling advertising programs to companies like Pizza Delight, Aliant Mobility, Atlantic Lottery Corporation and BPI Mutual Funds.

For the next 8 years he owned and operated 2 highly successful Cora’s Breakfast and Lunch in the Moncton region.  Having peaked as a franchisee, he sold the businesses so he could focus on combining all his skills to help entrepreneurs achieve their goals and dreams. He believes there is no band aid solution. A business must learn the fundamentals and apply them consistently.
