Aldéa Landry, CM, PC, QC

The Honourable Aldéa Landry, CM, PC, QC, is a lawyer and business woman who has been a civil servant with the New Brunswick Department of Justice, a legal practitioner in a law firm that she co-founded, and a Cabinet Minister and Deputy Premier of New Brunswick in the government of Premier Frank McKenna. She is president of LANDAL Inc., a consulting firm based in Moncton New Brunswick offering integrated services in organizational and business development and in International Cooperation. She is also vice-president of Diversis Inc, a consulting firm specializing in immigration and diversity.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Université de Moncton and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of New Brunswick. Appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1987 (Q.C.) and to the Privy Council of Canada in 2005 (P.C.), she was awarded the Order of Canada in 2006 (C.M.) and holds honorary Doctorate degrees from the University of New Brunswick, Université de Moncton , Mount Saint Vincent University and Mount Allison University. She also received a Merit Award from the Université de Moncton for her outstanding contribution to the development of the University and the Spiritus Award for her contribution to the advancement of women. In 2003, she was chosen by Progress Magazine as one of 20 Atlantic Canadians who represent the spirit of progress in Atlantic Canada. She was also recipient, in 2009, of the prix Muriel Fergusson Award created by the Greater Moncton Chamber of Commerce to recognize outstanding women in business and leadership roles. In 2009, she was named Top 100: Canada’s Most Powerful Women by the Women’s Executive Network.

Louise Belliveau, CA

Louise started her career with Paul L. Bourque & Cie as a junior accountant. She then became senior accountant with Grant Thornton after being chartered, and internal auditor with Assumption Life. Since 1995, Louise has been practicing on her own. She offers a bilingual and personalized professional service to a diverse clientele: small and medium enterprises of all kinds and several non-profit organizations. She is assisted by a technician and a senior accountant, and she remains personally involved in all her mandates.

Always very active in her community, Louise is a lecturer in an accounting class at Université de Moncton and gives various presentations to groups on subjects such as bookkeeping and ways to read a financial statement for organizations, namely Women in Business New Brunswick, Dames d'Acadie, YWCA, entrepreneurship groups and others. She was president of the board of directors of the New Brunswick Institute of Chartered Accountants for six years and sat on executive offices and boards of directors of several organizations.
